Smith Devereux is a small, boots on the ground, Napa Valley winery that farms sustainably and strives for balance, complexity and food friendliness in our wines. We believe in featuring the subtle and unique flavors of the vineyard and grapes, keep things down to earth, welcome everyone, and do everything possible to be inclusive in an industry that is often viewed as exclusive. We (Smith and Dev) host guests in person and put our club, customers, and integrity first. We use minimal packaging, no animal products, and do everything we can to bring pure joy out of wine and life.

Cabernet-lovers Merlot!
Cabernet Sauvignon
Our single-vineyard Napa Valley merlot is grown in our award winning Ibex Vineyard. Sustainably farmed and hand-harvested in Oak Knoll, our vines thrive among some of the most celebrated cabernet vineyards in Napa Valley. Harvested late for prime ripeness, this wine is aged in new French oak for a luscious, complex, full-bodied expression of merlot.
The Magic SB Blend
Sauvignon Blanc
Smith Devereux Sauvignon Blanc Blend is 98% Sauvignon Blanc with just a kiss of another secret white varietal to soften the acid and make it much more food friendly. Our SB is refreshing and bright with notes of citrus and tropical fruit and you’ll detect gentle flavors of lemon and crisp apple that linger with the clean finish. We call it our SB blend because it is a proprietary blend and the name is also a nod to Devereux’s sons Sonny and Benjamin.

Our 100% Napa Valley Cabernet is sustainably farmed in Napa’s famed Oak Knoll District. Known as the “sweet spot” and heralded for moderate temperatures and balance, soils here are perfect for making rich, silky, reds (it’s also where we host vineyard guests). Aged 26 Months in French Oak

We call our California Red Blend a “pizza and burger wine” but it has also been found on some of the most prestiguos wine lists in the country. Easy drinking, easy pariing, rich and delisicous – This sustianably farmed and made crowd pleaser just doesn’t miss. It was the 3rd release in the Smith Devereux portfolio of wines and pays homage the 3 founders of the winery.

OUR HISTORY
Smith Devereux’s first vintage was 2012 but our roots in the wine industry go back as far as the 1980 and range from vineyard farming, to media and music. But what what broght and holds us together is frienship, commuinty and the desire to make somthing that will become a joyous part of other’s lives. Like yours!
The Smith Devereux story began, as many great stories do, with music and wine. A travel and wine writer, a farmer with some of Napa Valley’s best grapes, and a music industry insider with a love for wine and need for change; we were an unlikely trio.
